Nevadans are facing unprecedented hurdles, from rising costs of living to the housing affordability struggles, compounded by burdensome regulations that limit opportunities. AFP NV exists to change that by advocating for transformational policies that will remove barriers to opportunities Our vision isn’t about partisan politics-it’s about people.

Reform occupational licensing laws and make it easier for Nevadans to pursue their passions and provide for their families. AFP-NV will drive advocacy for many issues to unlock economic opportunities for Nevadans including:
Supporting portable benefits for self-employed workers
Supporting universal recognition on occupational licensure
EDUCATION: EMPOWERING PARENTS, INSPIRING STUDENTS
Advocate for educational freedom, expanding options, and ensuring every student has access to quality learning. Our priorities include:
Broadening open enrollment opportunities.
Safeguarding and enhancing Nevada Opportunity Scholarship Program.
HEALTHCARE: PATIENT CENTERED, QUALITY, AFFORDABLE CARE
We envision a health care system that empowers patients to make choices that are right for them and empowering health care professionals they trust to provide high-quality care at prices people can afford.
Address physician shortage by streamlining state medical licensure requirements for international medical graduates, allowing them to practice and bring their skills to serve our communities.
PROTECTING PERSONAL PRIVACY: SAFEGUARDING FREE SPEECH
Support legislation such as the Personal Protection Privacy Act (PPPA) to safeguard individual privacy rights by preventing government overreach into nonprofit membership and donor lists. Ensuring that citizens can support causes they believe in without fear of intimidation or exposure is critical to upholding free speech and association. By passing PPPA, lawmakers can protect personal privacy while maintaining transparency in government operations, fostering trust and civic engagement.
